Losing My Hookah Mojo-Not a Chance!

by admin on Jul.28, 2010, under About Us, News, Shisha

Good Morning Again Hookah Whisperer’s!

Happy!

Remember the other day when I thought I was losing my taste for hookah? I just couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t tasting right and just wasn’t satisfying me anymore. Well, I figured it out.

Two things: One, I used my hookah to the point that it had just had enough. This one hookah was used at least 500 times and I think it just gave up the fight. Second, I was smoking way too much. Once I backed down to a max of twice a day, I started getting the satisfaction that I used to get with each smoke.

So, be not dismayed, I am back and enjoying the smoke once again!

Until next time, remember: Life is too short to smoke cheap shisha!

Good Evening Hookah Whisperers!

I am heading home from work shortly, but wanted to show you something really cool. This video is of me smoking our first Hookah that we will be selling on Hookahwhisperer.com in a couple of months. I got a working model and I really wanted everyone to see it. I think it is the most awesome smoke and it is beautiful as well. I hope you enjoy the video.

Well, what do you think? I really would like to get everyone’s opinion, so as always, feel free to speak up.

Losing My Taste For Hookah?! Can’t Be!

by admin on Jul.26, 2010, under About Us, Shisha, Videos

Good Afternoon Hookah Whisperers!

These last couple of nights have been a real roller coaster ride for me. Since Friday night, I have had some sort of Body Filter”, for lack of a better term, that is making my Hookah not taste strong enough or right in any way? Has anyone else ever experienced this? It is the weirdest feeling. It’s like my body is filtering out all of the flavor, buzz, and contentment that I usually get from smoking my hookah.

For those of you that are thinking it is my rig, I switched out my regular rig and tried a different one. I tried different shishas! Nothing is working! I am seriously worried that I have wounded my taste buds or sinuses and that I may never enjoy the taste of AF grape with mint again.

I am going home right now to light up and see if anything has changed. I have not smoked for almost twenty four hours, so this should be a good time to give it a try. I am very interested to know if any of you have experienced anything like this before. Please post any thoughts or ideas you might have.

This next video is from Saturday morning after a smoking session. Obviously, I was really bored. Tell me what you think and I hope you enjoy it.

Well, is that just a shame or what. I have so much extra skin on my face, if there is a strong wind, it actually lifts me off the ground!

Until next time, remember: Life is to short to smoke cheap shisha!

Express Yourself! Examiner.com!

by admin on Jul.22, 2010, under About Us, News

Good Morning Hookah Whisperers!

I just wanted to put this out again for all of you writers-in-hiding. I am a writer in my spare time, yeah I didn’t think I had any either, for Examiner.com and absolutely love it. F I can do it, anyone can, so if you love to write or you are currently writing or contributing to a blog, check this out! I have laid out the steps to do this below. Good luck to all of you that pursue this exciting path!

1) Go to examiner.com.

2) In the top banner, there is a “change city” button. If the city that is showing is not the city/area you would like to write for, click that button and change the city.

3) In the top panel on the right-hand side, click “write for us.”

4) You will see a list of open writing opportunities.

5) Click on one that interests you, and select it. This will take you to the next page, which is “personal information.”

6) At the bottom of this page, you will find a box that says, “How did you hear about Examiner.com?” Remember to put in either my “Examiner ID” which is 48850 OR search “Mark Ringenberg” under “Examiner Name.”

7) Once my name comes up in the search results, click on it and it will name me as your referrer. (After you become an examiner, you will see how this can increase your income and help you increase your readership).

8) Click the “next” button at the bottom and tell them a little about your experience on the next page. (This can be any type of life experience and how it will relate to you writing about your topic.)

9) At the bottom of this page, click “next” and it will take you to the writing sample

10) If you already have a blog, use some of your previous posts as evidence for your writing abilities and experience. (If not, write about something your are comfortable writing about – preferably something relating to the examiner area for which you are applying)

* Usually the sign up process takes approximately 30 minutes, and they will review your application quickly because they are in dire need of new writers

After 2 and a half months, I am starting to see some income and know that I made the right choice in applying to be an examiner. I also really love writing (especially when it relates to something I thoroughly enjoy), and this gives me the opportunity to get paid for doing something I would do regardless. I am happy to say that writing for “The Examiner” is a blast, and hopefully you will have the same positive experience.

Until next time, remember: Life is to short to smoke cheap shihsa!(or follow your dreams!)

Survey Results! Wow!

by admin on May.27, 2010, under About Us, Surveys

Good Afternoon Hookah Whisperers!

Last week I posted an entry regarding getting to know my readers better. I have been overwhelmed by the response! Four of you have left a response. Four? Yes, four.

I know people like their privacy. But at the same time, I know that people talk back and forth on the forums as do I, behind the mask of an avatar. That is why I am posting a picture of myself. Hopefully, I will be made fun of to the point that everyone will feel okay about sharing a little bit of themselves.

This survey is just a quick demographic and interest area survey. You don’t even have to leave an email. I am honestly just trying to get to know you all better. Just share what you are comfortable with sharing. Or, do what the majority of the people do on the internet…lie! Just make up a life you wish you had and answer the questions that way.

Also, due to immense public pressure and all of the papparazi surrounding Hookahwhisperer.com, I am petitioning to be on the Ellen Show. So, we are going to do this through twitter. All of you Tweeps out there, I need you to tweet @theellenshow have @hookahwhisperer on your show! RT. So, spread the word and I will let you know when I get a call from Ellen and when I will be appearing.

Until next time, remember: Life is too short to smoke cheap shisha!

Hello Hookah Whisperers

by mark@hookahwhisperer.com on Dec.09, 2009, under About Us

When we first started kicking around the idea of what this blog should be, many different images came to mind. But what stuck out to me, was the fact that it is not that I am The Hookah Whisperer, but all of us that love the hookah lifestyle in general are Hookah Whisperers. So, what is the Hookah Lifestyle…you tell me. There doesn’t seem to be a true demographic. I have enjoyed smoking hookah with people from ages 18 to 63. I myself am 46, but I have a passion for the hookah and truly enjoy the social aspect of a good long smoke with friends.
I do want to explain a bit about my love of the Hookah and the lifestyle of smoking hookah. Earlier this year, I lost my oldest son, Garrison, to suicide. He was a nineteen year old Libertarian-ish, economics student at Ball State University. He first introduced me to hookah a few years back, and we spent many, many hours sitting on our patio smoking hookah and discussing all sorts of topics. If any of you knew Garrison, you will know what I mean. I had spent the last ten years working in finance and of course the bottom fell out and I was unemployed. A friend of mine asked if I wanted to be involved in an e-commerce start up, and the first thing I thought of was Garrison and Hookahs.
So, to conclude this ramble, I am not The Hookah Whisperer…all who love hookah are Hookah Whisperers. I really encourage you to use this site as a resource for your hookah thoughts, questions, and needs, but also as a safe place to post your thoughts, not just about hookahs, but about life, school, family, job…whatever is in your head. I do ask that you refrain from too much profanity, but mostly I hope you enjoy and engage with other Hookah Whisperers.
