Good Afternoon Hookah Whisperers!

Due to some galactically bad luck I have had with some online hookah stores this past year, I wanted to flat out ask the question. So, below, you will find just such a survey. I really hope you all will take this semi seriously at least, as I am looking for a good, dependable vendor to service my customers. Please don’t base your answers on the “pretty cool box” that it came in, or the “coolest bubble wrap you’ve ever seen”.

Base your answers on customer service, speed of delivery, completeness of order…that kind of thing. I’ve watched some vendor reviews that really don’t do this issue much justice. If you just open the box and say, “here’s what I got! I can’t wait to try it!”, what good does that do anyone. Heck, every order I get I can’t wait to jump right into! But, did you get the right stuff. Some stores use the old “substitution” policy which I have come to hate. If I ordered Kiwi-Melon Al Fakher and they send me Cotton Candy Fantasia, there better be an incredibly good reason. And by incredibly good reason, I mean “the President has been shot”, kind of reason, or “I accidentally called “The Rock” a mama’s boy and I am just now eating solid foods again”, reason. So, be honest and try not to make it personal. And know, with your answers, you may just save a life out there!

Do you think I am shooting to high with this goal? Maybe work my way up by hosting a local access show, then maybe Mad TV and THEN SNL? I say NAY! Let’s go for the big time right out of the gates. Good Afternoon Hookah Whisperers!

I just got off the phone with an excise officer for the state of Indiana. He told me that as of July 1, 2010, ALL sales and delivery of ALL tobacco products, except cigars, are illegal in the United States. This led me to read up on the act. Many of the articles I read said that it will now be illegal to ship tobacco through the USPS, while for years, some said, Fedex and UPS have refused to deliver tobacco products. Fedex and UPS have refused to deliver tobacco products? Are you kidding me? I have recieved more tobacco from Fedex than I have from florist at funerals! What is the purpose behind these crazy laws? It has to be money for somebody. This country’s government is so messed up it is unbelievable.

The point of this post is frustration and venting on my part, but I would like to hear what all of you know out there. Please help me to better understand this broken US government. All posts welcomed and encouraged.

How do I go from reviewing a high line Tangiers to a lower line Fantasia all in one day? I don’t know. I just wanted to show the range of what is out there I guess. So take a look at the video and see what you think. This wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. There was an orange flavor, just not as pronounced as I would have liked. Enjoy the video.

So, go out and buy a 50g, it’s pretty cheap, and give it a shot.

Good Morning Hookah Whisperers!

I was sitting in my hookah room at my house last night, having a smoke of Al Fakher Mint mixed with a bit of Starbuzz Orange, contemplating the larger issues in life. One thing kept coming back to me and that was, I love smoking hookah! How awesome is it to have an activity that is awesome with friends AND awesome when sitting alone with your thoughts!

And how do you become bored with this hobby. What, there aren’t enough flavors for you? I would guess that just including Al Fakher, Starbuzz, Social Smoke, Layalina, and Fantasia, that there are enough flavors to go an entire year without smoking the same flavor twice. Let alone making your own blends from the shisha you have on hand. What a great hobby!

Also, the time and care it takes to prepare a bowl and the water. There is a certain ritual to it that I find very cathartic. It becomes so much more than, “Oh, I’m going to have a smoke.” It becomes a challenge to prepare your hookah better than you have ever done before. A challenge to have the best smoke you have ever had.
