Good afternoon all!

Today I am reviewing one of the shishas that I usually don’t review. I have spoken to so many people over the last couple of years that say I am way off base the way I trash some of the cheaper brands of shisha. So I thought I would go out and give a few of them a try.
Now, granted, I can be a bit of a shisha snob when it comes to what I smoke. I have a couple of preferred brands, namely, Al Fakher and Social Smoke. I have tried many, many brands and these are the ones that I always come back to. They have stood the test of time in my time in smoking them. Also, granted, I can afford to drop a couple hundred bucks on shisha each month. But what if my budget were cut back to under fifty bucks a month. What would I buy then?
Which leads me to today’s review. I went to my local cigarette store that sells Fantasia and Jewels. I bought a 50G of Strawberry Jewels for $2.29. It smelled great and I thought, what the heck, let’s give it a go. This is not the first time I have tried Jewels, but I have never been impressed with the overall smoking experience. This time, I decided to approach it from the standpoint of it was all I could afford.
I used my regular rig and a couple of Three Kings 40′s to get it rolling. And I must say, this was not a bad smoke. The flavor was definitely strawberry and the smoke was plenty thick. It was definitely a bit more harsh than the other brands I mentioned, but I expected that because at this price, the quality of the tobacco won’t be as good. But, the flavor of this particular one was dead on strawberry, and more than I expected I would enjoy. The only complaint I have is that at the finish, there was a bit of an ammonia taste, very slight, but still noticeable.
Overall, this was much better than I envisioned it would be. I don’t know that I will make a habit of smoking this brand, but in a pinch, I could do worse. So, if you are on a tight budget, give this a try. Not too shabby.
Until next time, remember: Life is too short to smoke cheap shisha…unless you have to.
