Good afternoon all!

Once again, I am in pursuit of finding a shisha comparable to Al Fakher Grape w/Mint. I could smoke this day in day out for the rest of my life and never tire of it. I can’t say that about any other shisha. Tangiers cool strawberry and Social Smoke Absolute Zero are close, but they just don’t have the power over me that Al Fakher does.

This weekend, I went out to my local smoke shop and bought some Fantasia. I bought some mint, watermelon, white grape and the other grape one with the clever name…which I can’t remember. Now, the watermelon and mint combo is nice, but no matter how I mix the others, nothing comes close to the Al Fakher. Be it Starbuzz, Fumari, Social Smoke, I just can’t find the equal. Am I doomed to this fate! Does anyone have a favorite that they are so passionate about that they would share with the world? Do a video and I’ll post it here and we will share it with the world. Unless of course it is in limited supply, then just email me and we’ll share it…screw everybody else.

Good afternoon all.

Well, it was laying around…that’s why! I just couldn’t put off reviewing this any longer.

While this is not a flavor that I would pick to smoke on a mid 70′s temperate day, it wasn’t all that bad. Although, I do believe it would have been much nicer on a late November day with a fire lit in the fireplace and a cup of tea. This shisha has a distinct mint aroma with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. When you smoke it though, the mint is in the background and the cinnamon and nutmeg take over.

The smoke is standard Starbuzz smoke, big puffy clouds. The quality of the tobacco is evident and the moisture content perfect for a cool smoke that won’t easily burn.

There is no doubt, Starbuzz makes a really good product. It is pretty consistent and it really is a quality made shisha. The flavors are just too plentiful and overlapping for my taste. This one is a flavor that if they pulled tomorrow, I doubt if anyone would notice. If I need this flavor, I could choose a variety of others that are similar and not really miss anything.

Overall, this is about a five on a scale of ten for me. Nothing that really leaps up and says, “notice me!”. If you like a unequal mix of sweetness, cinnamon and mint, give it a try.

Good afternoon all!

As you may have noticed lately, I have been expanding my view of shishas. I have decided that there must be other brands out there that I have tried, but not enough to get a good taste for their overall product. Fantasia is a perfect example of this. I have been such a snob over the years that I discount the shisha that I believe is of a lesser quality. Once again, Fantasia is a perfect example of this.

For some reason, I have it in my head that this is not as high quality of product as say StarBuzz, Al Fakher, or Social Smoke. Maybe it is because of the fact that it can be purchased at cigarette stores, I am not sure. What I do know is that I have not been fair to this brand.

This weekend I tried the Cuban Mojito. Wow! This has an amazing flavor to it. Very Limey and you can almost taste the alcohol, it is such a good match! There is an ever so slight mint hit at the very end, making the finish quite unique. The cut is a very small clean cut, and the moistness of the tobacco is fabulous. I think it may be a bit too moist, but I think they package it this way knowing it may be sitting on a shelf in a cigarette store for quite some time. Having said that, I have never had any of the fantasia that I have bought be dry in any way.

This is a really good flavor and I recommend you give it a go. Until next time, remember: Life is too short to smoke cheap shisha!

Good Afternoon Hookah Whisperers!

Due to some galactically bad luck I have had with some online hookah stores this past year, I wanted to flat out ask the question. So, below, you will find just such a survey. I really hope you all will take this semi seriously at least, as I am looking for a good, dependable vendor to service my customers. Please don’t base your answers on the “pretty cool box” that it came in, or the “coolest bubble wrap you’ve ever seen”.

Base your answers on customer service, speed of delivery, completeness of order…that kind of thing. I’ve watched some vendor reviews that really don’t do this issue much justice. If you just open the box and say, “here’s what I got! I can’t wait to try it!”, what good does that do anyone. Heck, every order I get I can’t wait to jump right into! But, did you get the right stuff. Some stores use the old “substitution” policy which I have come to hate. If I ordered Kiwi-Melon Al Fakher and they send me Cotton Candy Fantasia, there better be an incredibly good reason. And by incredibly good reason, I mean “the President has been shot”, kind of reason, or “I accidentally called “The Rock” a mama’s boy and I am just now eating solid foods again”, reason. So, be honest and try not to make it personal. And know, with your answers, you may just save a life out there!
